Selected improvement measures and ideas for implementation

1. Strategy Reducing material inputs
Measure: Prefer the use of recycled materials (secondary materials)
Idea: use recycled PS

Measure: Reduce material input by design aiming at optimum strength
Idea: By minimizing the height of the case the strength is increased and the product life prolonged and on the other hand the amount of material is reduced (slim covers).

Measure: Reduce material input by integration of functions
Idea: A hand lever to close and hold the CD can reduce the required material quantity and prolong the product lifetime (see illustration).

2. Strategy Increasing product durability
Measure: Ensure surfaces are user friendly
Idea: Using half transparent PS would not allow the cover to get scratched so fast resulting in a longer use.

3. Strategy Recycling of materials
Measure: Ensure labeling of materials conforming to standards
Idea: add PS labeling
