ECODESIGN PILOT Checkliste

ECODESIGN strategy "reduce packaging expenses

Filling out the checklists of the ECODESIGN PILOT

The ECODESIGN PILOT detects and selects the product design strategy link opens in new window Reducing material inputs as important to pursue for the further improvement of the packaging.

Please fill out the checklists online or in printed form. The approach is described below.

Strategy evaluation approach by filling out the checklists:

  1. Determine the relevance (R).
  2. Fullfilment of the evaluation question (E).
  3. Identify the measures with high priority P=R*E
  4. Find ideas to implement these ECODESIGN measures. The information in the chapter "Learn" with examples shall assist you in doing that.
  5. Evaluate the feasability of proposed ideas.
  6. Compare the costs of the new ideas with the situation referenced.
  7. Decide about the timing of the implementation of the ECODESIGN measures, assign the people and define the time frame.
  8. Save the checklist to document the ECODESIGN assessment.

For the following selection of measures the focus should be on those measures with highest priority because they have the highest potential for improvement.
