Hessam Ostad finished studying mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Vienna (VUT) with specialisation on modelling and simulation in 2005. Since 2002 he works in the ECODESIGN research group of the Institute for Engineering Design of VUT. He is responsible for acquiring projects, cooperation in different projects, maintaining the ECODESIGN PILOT as well as adapting it to specific needs of companies and industry. Hessam Ostad is also responsible for the development of methods and strategies for the implementation of ECODESIGN into early decisive design stages in industry. Since 2006 he is also project manager of the ECODESIGN company.
