ECODESIGN EEG PILOT

Project description

Information <-

The cooperation between KERP Center of Excellence for Electronic Scrap Recycling and Sustainable Product Design and the Institute for Engineering Design - research division ECODESIGN connects and draws on the technical and methodical competence of both institutions. In order to facilitate an implementation of compliance with mentioned Directives for companies, a custom tool with practical value was developed in the course of a joint project cooperation. The tool is a structured aid which demonstrate ways to implement the Directives and to put them into practice. An already existing software tool, the EEG - PILOT ECODESIGN, was used to develop strategies and measures for electrical and electronic devices and present them in the form of easy-to-handle check lists.

We offer further services within the domain of ecologically sound product development in the form of workshops or custom adaptations of the EEG-Pilot (see contact).

"ECODESIGN EEG-PILOT - an adaptation of the product, innovation, learning and optimization tool for the development of environmentally sound electrical and electronic devices", eco-X, June 8-10, 2005, Vienna

This case study uses a computer mouse to explain the use of the EEG-PILOT. It demonstrates possible structural improvements targeted toward a compliance with the Directives.
