Synopsis
Elaboration of criteria for the sustainability label for repair-friendly electr(on)ic appliances, specific marketing and PR activities targeting producers and consumers to rise acceptance of the label, training of auditors and allocation of the sustainability label.

Ecodesign comment
Opposite to the trend of the existing throwaway society this label marks products which are well repairable and have a long life time. In the sense of sustainability those products are promoted where already in the product development stage reparability has been considered and therefore a long product life time is being secured.
