We are happy to send you the preliminary program of the 37th Discussion Forum “Carbon Footprint and LCA: Identify the most effective way to reduce the environmental footprint of consumers goods”




Practical information

§ Situation

The forum will take place at the Hotel Alpha-Palmiers (http://www.fassbindhotels.com/f/2_alpha-palmiers.html, see map attached). The hotel is five minutes away (on foot) from the Lausanne railway station. To reach the Hotel Alpha-Palmiers, take the road « Rue du Petit-Chêne » that goes upwards, left from the Mac Donalds; the Hotel is on that road, after a 300-meter walk on your left hand side.






§ Application form

To register to the 37th DF, please fill the application form (word .doc) attached and send it back to the LCA Discussion Forum secretariat (lcaforum@ecointesys.ch). Please do not forget to stipulate your affiliation and if you are a student or a PhD student (special fees, see application form). The program describing the DF a 38 and DF 39 is also available on this website.




§ Invoice

Once the application form will be sent to the LCA Discussion Forum secretariat (lcaforum@ecointesys.ch) and the registration confirmed back, an invoice will be sent by email to all the participants. It is possible to pay by transfer payment or in cash in the morning of the forum (Thursday, March 19th) at the reception desk of the Hotel Alpha-Palmiers, between 8:00 to 9:00 am.

§ Lunch

An organized lunch will be available at the Hotel Alpha-Palmiers for an additional 25 CHF per person. Please inform the conference organizers in advance if you do not want lunch or if you are vegetarian. The payment of this lunch (only swiss francs and no credit cards) will be possible in the morning of the forum at the reception desk of the Hotel Alpha-Palmiers, between 8:00 to 9:00 am.

§ Accommodation

For the people spending the night in Lausanne, there are different accommodation facilities. Please look at: http://www.lausanne-tourisme.ch/view.asp?domId=62865&language=F.

§ Transportation

The best way to reach the Hotel Alpha-Palmiers in Lausanne is to come by rain. A train timetable is available on the following address: www.cff.ch. Some useful schedules are presented below:






Please pay attention: the day of the forum, Thursday the 19th of March, a general strike will take place in France. So please be careful to foresee your mode of transportation or your accomodation!
