About us

The Austrian ECODESIGN Information platform is running since 1996 operated by the ECODESIGN Team at the Institute for Engineering Design, Vienna University of Technology. The principle idea was to collect all interesting information and links about ECODESIGN and make it accessable to a broad audience. Since then the research activities on design products according to ECODESIGN at the Institute for Engineering Design at Vienna University of Technology has been intensified. Scientific staff members from various fields successfully work together in dynamic teams.

We made it our business, to prepare ECODESIGN as simple as possible and to spread the information.

Our online-ECODESIGN PILOT - Product Innovation Learning and Optimization Tool - is an easy to use tool. The utility programm Assistant helps to identify product improvement strategies. Our interactive calendar of events has proved itself over the years and offers the possibility of announcing your own events and activities. Additionally, there exists a mailing list, with which you have the opportunity of addressing the whole ECODESIGN community.
